I first fell in love with celtic music several Christmas’ ago when my son gave me a CD of Celtic music. After listening to it over and over during the holidays, I was so drawn to the drum sounds and found out that it was the Bodhran drum that I so loved. From there, I picked one out for my birthday that spring and now my main hobby-I never really had a hobby before-is drumming, but more importantly bodhran drumming. I love everything Celtic now and wonder why I wasn’t born Irish. When I go to Holland to visit relatives, there is the neighborhood pub where everyone hangs out. I play it there sometimes and everyone joins in on the fun.
